Waterloo Secures Tender for Embassy Gardens Project

Embassy Gardens - Air Distribution Systems - Grilles and Diffusers

Waterloo - Embassy Gardens

Embassy Gardens by EcoWorld Ballymore is a prestigious residential development containing the latest in air distribution systems supplied by Waterloo. An extensive range of Waterloo grilles and diffusers have been specified throughout the apartments and communal areas.

Located in the Nine Elms on the South Bank regeneration area, Embassy Gardens is one of the capital’s most desirable waterside residential developments.

A complex made up of 1,982 homes, the gardens form a horseshoe around London’s new diplomatic precinct, home to the new Dutch and US embassies. Influenced by the architecture of Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, the apartments are of varying sizes and character, featuring sophisticated and contemporary interiors.

A striking feature of the development will be the glass ‘sky pool’ suspended 35 metres above ground, linking two of the buildings at the 10th floor and enabling residents to swim from one building to the other.

A HVAC and air distribution system, that combines high efficiencies and premium comfort with aesthetics, were an essential part of the design specifications. Waterloo’s new Plasterline grilles were widely used in the apartments.

Airline linear grilles, perforated faced diffusers and bespoke plenum boxes were also supplied for the project. This required Waterloo to engineer smaller Airline linear grilles with a damper adjustable from the face for the fresh air make up grilles. Perforated faced diffusers were used in the front of house gym and cinema and finished in powder coat to meet customer preferences. A wide range of colours were also used on the VB exhaust valves.

The Plasterline and Airline linear grilles are suitable for heating, cooling or general ventilation applications and have been designed to address engineering requirements as well as architectural specifications. The grilles are supplied with or without frames and borders and can be used in modular or continuous applications for ceiling, sidewall, cill or bulkheads.

Waterloo’s exhaust valves are ideal for air distribution systems handling relatively low air flow rates within small diameter ductwork.

Teamwork

We worked closely with contractors and engineers to make sure the correct products were selected and met the required criteria. The higher end of the residential market makes impressive use of materials, technology and commands premium prices. A controlled environment in these developments is expected as standard. Waterloo ensures that the right air distribution selections are made to discreetly compliment the interiors. When it comes to high profile residential projects, technical proficiency goes hand in hand with attention to detail.
