All of our training seminars are CIBSE-accredited, so you are able to broaden your knowledge under their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme, gaining the skills necessary for you to stay ahead of your profession.

Lightning Protection Course:
General background to the nature of lightning and methods of protection relevant to British Standards including risk assessments, installation practices, and test methods. The course also includes the concepts of surge protection and the application of surge protection devices.

Lightning Protection – Earthing:
This course details the basic principles, soil resistivity, relevant standards, software modelling, substation earthing and test methods.

Lightning Protection – Surge Protection:
The subject matter covers transient over - voltages, their causes, effects and how to protect against them. The presentation also covers standards requirements and compliance implications.

New Standards in Lightning Protection - Understanding BS EN 62305:2006:
New CENELEC and British Standards for lightning protection now fully introduced have substantial implications for risk assessment and equipment selection. The course will take you through the criteria and the process of complex assessments that will have to be undertaken.
