ARDEX - Moray Anderson

ARDEX have been members of the Stone Federation for many years and now Moray Anderson, Technical Services Representative for ARDEX, will be joining their Technical Committee.

As a committee member, Moray will provide input in to technical content for the Stone Federation publications and guides, as well as assist with, and raise awareness of, technical issues surrounding natural stone installations.

With over 45 years' experience in the industry, including 28 years in the ARDEX Technical Services Department, Moray brings with him his extensive knowledge and expertise in tiling and natural stone.

Throughout his time at ARDEX, Moray has helped thousands with technical support and on-site assistance, and has played a key role in many high profile stone projects. In 1989 he supervised the refurbishment of the Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield; here, ARDEX S 21 Rapid Hardening Floor Tile Bedding Mortar was used to fix 15,000m² of stone tiles, which remain in place today.

Perhaps one of his most notable achievements was his involvement in the refurbishment of the Burjuman Shopping Mall in Dubai in 2005. Here, he oversaw the application of ARDEX Natural Stone products and secured the specification for the entire 43,000m² refit. This ultimately led to ARDEX UK winning their biggest ever project the following year, where the same products were specified throughout the 165,000m² build of the Dubai Mall.

Commenting on his new appointment, Moray said, "The Stone Federation is respected throughout the industry, and I’m delighted to be a part of their Technical Committee."
