Daikin UK’s Future Thinking Invites Building Services Engineers to Look to the Future of Building Design

Future Thinking Showcase

Daikin UK is inviting building services engineers and consultants to look into the future of building design and management at the upcoming sixth series of its CPD-accredited Future Thinking seminars.

Taking place from the 28th June, the series will visit 11 venues across the UK, discussing the future direction of system integration, analytics and building performance.

Exploring the impact of digital technology in the built environment, often referred to as the 4th Industrial Revolution, the seminar programme will examine how technology will influence the design of large-scale building systems.

Discovering how large scale built environments can be better controlled and managed, the sixth series of Future Thinking will contemplate the evolving requirements of large scale building projects and how to design with flexibility for the future in mind.

The keynote speaker for the series is Doug King, Visiting Professor at the Universities of Bath and Chongqing, and specialist in building physics and sustainability in the built environment. Also a Chartered Environmentalist as well as a Chartered Engineer, Doug is the engineer behind several innovative projects including Sainsbury’s in Greenwich, the Genzyme Centre in Cambridge, Massachusettes and the Innovate Green Office in Leeds.

Each seminar will begin at 6pm and include a buffet, drinks and networking session at the following locations:
