Bells Power Continue the Land Securities Legacy

Land Securities - Generator System - Standby Power - Generator Sets

Bells - Generator

Bells Power Group have successfully delivered and handed over another Land Securities turnkey generator solution.

The new building, which will become the new Headquarter office building for Deloitte, is the latest Land Securities development that Bells has installed in the last 3-4 years following on from Park House, 62 Buckingham Gate, 123 Victoria, Eastbourne Terrace, 30 Old Bailey and 60 Ludgate Hill.

Bells had been contracted by Skanska SRW to provide a turnkey generator solution consisting of 2 FG Wilson P2250-1 400KV Tenants Generators and 1 FG Wilson P1000P1 c/w 1700KVA alternator Life Safety Generator within a plantroom on Basement Level B2.

A full acoustic/ventilation solution was provided for plantroom consisting of exhaust silencers, ventilation fans, inlet and extract attenuation to achieve 62 dB(A) @ 1m.

As the required airflow could not be achieved within the room for the 3 generators, each set was fitted with a heat exchanger which were connected to DAC on the Roof level complete with 20 levels of flow and return pipework and associated cooling pumps/pressurisation units.

A complete fuel system was installed to include a 72 and 24 hour capacity bulk storage tank for tenants and life safety in the adjacent room gravity feeding flow and return to the Generator.

A full PLC system is to be installed complete with outstations and a fibre ring, which will control the operation of the Generators as well as the operation of the main LV ACBs, monitoring of the fuel system and the PMS of the building.

The System was successfully commissioned by the Bells Power Solution team in Q4 2016.
