The Generator Company - Powerhire Rental Power for London Twin Tower Apartments Development

Olympic Village - Rental Power - Generator Hire - Power Generation

TGC - Olympic Village

Having worked with this specialist London apartment builder for almost 10 years, Powerhire’s Technical Sales Manager was once again pleased to be providing them with rental power for the construction of a twin tower development near the Olympic Village, East London.

The tallest tower of the scheme will be 123.25 metres high with 36 floors which will be linked with the shorter tower via a joint residential lobby. The shorter building will be 57.25 metres with shops on its ground floor and office space on the first and second floors.

In total they will contain 342 new apartments, 1,345 square metres of retail, 1,274
square metres of commercial space and 1,466 square metres of outdoor space for
residents. 95% of this development has already been sold!

Powerhire were contacted to support the development in early 2015, at which point each stage of the rental power supply was scheduled in for the requested time scales by the Rental Power Coordinator. Our Installation Team delivered the first of two 300kVA generators to site for power to tower cranes in April 2015 followed shortly by the other one at the end of July. In November additional rental power was delivered for the construction site’s hoists and a further 500kVA generator will be delivered in January 2016.

The complete rental power package is anticipated to be removed from site once construction is complete in 2017 and during that period our Service Engineers will visit site every 8 to 10 weeks to service the generators, ensuring their efficiency throughout the hire period.
