ABB Power Grids - Hinkley Point C

ABB has won a contract from National Grid to reinforce its high voltage infrastructure to accept electricity produced by Hinkley Point C. ABB will be behind the design, manufacture and installation of a brand new 400 kV substation at Shurton.

In ABB’s latest edition of its FFWD customer newsletter, Sue Adam, National Grid’s Head of Major Infrastructure Development, said: "We are delighted to award the contract to build the new substation to ABB, which will be a vital link between the new Hinkley Point C power station and the electricity network."
