Honeywell Logo

Our training program provides integrators with the knowledge and tools necessary to optimally deploy and operate Honeywell security solutions. Our trainers have many years of experience not only as instructors, but also directly in the field.

We continually develop and improve our training programs to enhance the overall learning environment and make it easy for our customers to get the most out of their relationship with Honeywell. We’re dedicated to providing you with the knowledge and tools necessary to optimally deploy and operate your security solutions. Course sizes are limited to approximately 8 people to ensure a quality hands-on learning experience.

Courses are held across the year at our Honeywell training centres and ADI Global Distribution branches as well as customer sites, when appropriate and by prior arrangement. They are offered free of charge and are of between a half day and one day duration.

Honeywell Security offer the following CPD Courses:

Introduction to Access Control Systems
CPD Certificate No: 1712T1
Duration - 1 hour

This module provides an introduction to Access Control Systems, from the basic components of a solution to an overview of card and reader technology. The course begins by exploring the principles of security in the context of an access control system and the methods by which access can be granted or restricted. There is then an explanation of the components used within an access control system, understanding their function and technologies employed. Finally, the different reader and card technologies are explained.

Introduction to Intruder Detection Systems
CPD Certificate No: 1712T2
Duration - 1 hour

This module provides an introduction to Intruder Detection Systems, covering the basic components of a solution and describing the ancillary devices and their operation. The course begins by exploring the principles of security in the context of an intruder detection system and its component parts. There is an explanation of the technologies used in different types of detectors, a description of their operation and where each would be used. Finally, contacts and panic alarms are covered, concluding with a section on wiring configurations

Transitioning to IP Video Systems
CPD Certificate No: 1712T3
Duration - 1 hour

This module provides an introduction to network based CCTV, illustrating how basic analogue systems can be migrated to IP and eventually expanded to large multi-site systems. The course begins by taking a basic analogue CCTV system and using it as a starting point for migration to IP, explaining the benefits at each stage. Through the introduction of encoders, hybrid devices, fully fledged IP systems and cloud based solutions, the attendee will be shown how transition to IP can be implemented in an efficient and cost effective manner. Finally, network technologies and topologies are explained in the context of larger scale, multi-site IP systems.

Take Care, Be Cyber Aware!
A Guide to Cyber Security within IP CCTV
CPD Certificate No: A007778
Duration - 1 hour

This module provides an introduction to cyber security within IP CCTV, highlights the risks, prevention techniques and allows development of an action plan for when an attack is identified.
