Carlo Gavazzi has enhanced its popular EM24 meter by adding an Ethernet communication port which is available in both AV2 (65A) and AV5(5A) versions. The EM24 has an extended voltage range up to 480VLL nominal, making this meter suitable for all applications in building and industrial automation where a LAN is already installed; providing the important addition of energy management without the additional cost for the data infrastructure.

The well-established EM24 is easy-to-install and is particularly suited to the measurement of energy consumption and main electrical variables of single phase, two phase or three phase loads and offers three pulse inputs for gas, cold water, hot water or heating kWh measurements. The meter conforms to the EU Measuring Instruments Directive (MID); it also meets Class 1 European accuracy standards EN62053-21, EN 62053-23 and EN50470-3 (Class B).

At only 4 DIN modules wide, the EM24 features a large LCD display, to ensure sharp readability over a wide angle. Its front panel uses a configuration joystick for easier switching between alternative measurement pages, and fast scrolling through the readout. Providing error proof installation by using self-power supply and phase sequence detection whilst offering various interfacing capability such as 2 pulse outputs, the RS485, M-Bus, Dupline and Ethernet ports.

The EM24 is the perfect solution for Building and Industrial automation, cost allocation, MID sub metering applications within commercial and residential applications and anywhere where energy and main electrical variable monitoring is required. Together with the VMUC EM web-based solution, data can be managed by a complete energy management solution for both single or multi-site applications.
