Polyflor's Expona Flooring Flows Through New Gym

Vinyl Sheet Flooring - Heterogeneous Vinyl Flooring - Commercial Flooring

Polyflor Expona Flooring

High performance commercial sheet vinyl flooring from Polyflor’s Expona Flow PUR collection was recently installed in a new gym area at Shrewsbury Sports Village in Shropshire.

Peterborough based Escape Fitness designed the sports centre’s new gym and also installed the 220m² of Expona Flow PUR flooring throughout the space for Shropshire Community Leisure Trust Ltd. This heterogeneous vinyl flooring was used for the areas surrounding cardio and resistance equipment, the free weight area and walkways.

Two designs from the Expona Flow range were selected to be installed alongside each other - English Oak from the Wood collection and Meadow from the Cosmos collection. English Oak is a traditional timber design featuring a subtle rustic effect while Meadow is an intense yellow-green shade with subtle pearlescent highlights which creates a fun but functional environment.

Paul Lipscombe, International Flooring Project Manager at Escape Fitness commented, "We love how these two Expona Flow designs work together to create clearly defined pathways around the gym area and a vibrant atmosphere which we hope will help motivate visitors."

Available in a 2 metre wide format with a 2mm gauge, the UK manufactured Expona Flow PUR flooring collection includes 50 high performance wood, stone and abstract designs. Ideal for a range of leisure facilities and other heavy commercial environments, Expona Flow PUR is enhanced with Polyflor’s robust polyurethane reinforcement which is cross linked and UV cured for a simple polish-free maintenance regime and superior cleaning benefits.

Expona Flow product samples can be ordered free of charge on the Polyflor website or by calling the Polyflor Samples Direct Hotline.

Expona Flow’s environmental credentials are impressive, achieving a BRE A+ rating for major use areas in the healthcare sector and Indoor Air Comfort Gold, assuring that VOC emissions are below any globally determined levels. It is also 100% recyclable via the Recofloor recycling scheme and contains recycled material.
