Havells UK - A New Take on Metal Consumer Unit

Metal Consumer Units - HomeSafe Pro - Pro Consumer Units

Havells - Consumer Unit

New from Havells is the HomeSafe Pro, a stylish new range of Amendment 3 compliant consumer units. The new units offer all metal construction combined with an aesthetically pleasing design to provide the perfect solution for complying with the new changes to the lET wiring regulations BS7671, which came into full force in January 2016.

Manufactured to IEC 61439-3, HomeSafe Pro consumer units are safe, robust, easy to install, and are ideal for all types of domestic installation. The units feature a number of installation options and are supplied complete with a number of glanding accessories that simplify and speed up installation. There are multiple wiring access points provided in the design, with interchangeable gland plates to accommodate both mini trunking and circular glands. Non-flammable pierce through cable glands are also included, as are rear cable guard mouldings for complete installation safety.

Mike Lawrence, Marketing Manager at Havells UK, comments: "Amendment 3 has been a game-changer for domestic installation in the UK. Now that composite material units can no longer be legally installed in ‘pure’ domestic dwellings, the switch to metal units is now mandatory from January 2016. As well as featuring a stylish design, our metal units are matched with our high specification D6 MCB range and electronic compact RCBO range. Built-in MID metering options and surge protection options are also available. These features give them a real edge in this 'busy' sector of the electrical installation market."

Available in a wide range of sizes (from 2 way up to 20 ways) HomeSafe Pro units are finished in a sparkling white paint. Flush and surface mount options are offered across the range.
