Waterloo - Test Laboratory

Waterloo has over 100 years' experience in the ventilation industry and provides the highest quality technical support for its HVAC products.

The company's extensive hi-tech test laboratory in Kent underpins product research and development but is also used to train engineers and demonstrate products to customers.

Many high profile property developments, including City University, The Library of Birmingham and Dublin Airport have all benefited from the test lab. Few companies can match Waterloo's facilities which offer acoustic and air flow solutions.

They also provide a crucial development tool and on-going investment ensures Waterloo's customers can benefit from pre-design, selection and feasibility testing. Demonstrations, training and technical support are available to assess product performance and identify potential problems.

Waterloo's facilities are also available for consultants to demonstrate products to clients, engineers to investigate problems occurring on-site or to establish what products will best suit specific projects.

Waterloo offers a wide range of testing capabilities including:

  • Belimo ZTH controllers installed to accurately measure and control required air volumes for any test.
  • A full range of hand held temperature control devices and software.
  • 100W heated floor panels as well as hot/cold wall to simulate a thermal load in rooms.
  • All air velocity measurements can be recorded and stored with SWEMA Multipoint probes and software.
  • Smoke machines to demonstrate air patterns.
  • Moveable ceiling to allow the replication of room size during testing.

The facility is manned by a full-time CIBSE registered technician who can plan, design and set up the lab for testing to suit.
