Selectaglaze Unveils New BIM Models & a New Product Guide

BIM Models - Secondary Glazing - RIBA CPDS - Product Guide

Selectaglaze - Ham Yard Hotel

In collaboration with NBS (part of RIBA Enterprises Ltd) Selectaglaze has recently launched a comprehensive range of BIM models for their secondary glazing, which will appeal to those Architects and end users whose projects are designed with component and layered objects. BIM (Building Information Modelling) is a system that can swiftly generate a 3D depiction of a construction project.

The objects can be found on the RIBA National BIM Library which is a free online resource consisting of generic and proprietary BIM objects such as windows, doors, cladding, roofs in IFC (Industry Foundation Class) format and available for use in Vectorworks, Bentley, ArchiCAD, Revit and Teckla. With over 50,000 users registered to the library, BIM currently has a huge impact on how construction projects are delivered both in the UK and internationally and the influence of BIM methodologies and 3D modelling will continue to develop.
