Uniflair - Leonardo chilled water precision AC range

Uniflair’s R&D department continue to be hugely productive with the release of our brand new range of chilled water downflow and upflow precision air conditioning units. The new Leonardo LDCV / LUCV range incorporates 14 new models from 20 – 170kW, each size offering a choice of cooling coil optimised for either higher temperature operation on both the air and water side, in line with the latest ASHRAE recommendations for modern data centres, or for cooler traditional server room conditions.

Thanks to significant investment in R&D, the LDCV / LUCV range makes use of the latest generation composite radical EC fan technology along with an innovative coil design offering reduced air side pressure drops combined with improved heat transfer properties. The result is the double benefit of increased cooling capacity from the same footprint together with a significant reduction in fan power.

The new LDCV range includes a host of new features to minimise opex by making operation, service and maintenance as simple as possible. This includes a 7" touchscreen controller with a wide range of BMS connectivity being standard on all units, whilst remaining easily compatible with existing Uniflair units for controls and sequencing should you need to add extra units to sites with Uniflair units already installed.

The frame sizes are identical to the outgoing range, again making end-of-life unit replacement or adding extra units to existing rooms as simple as possible, and allowing the re-use of baseframes and ductwork already in situ.

The new LDCV range is highly customisable and available with all the features you’ve come to expect from Uniflair including automatic floor pressurisation system, intelligent control algorithms to minimise fan power at part load conditions, pressure independent control valves, single or dual cooling coils, integral energy metering and flow metering, zinc-free components, dual power supplies with ATS including Ultracapacitor to provide ultra-fast re-start times in less than 5 seconds, and direct fresh air free-cooling to name but a few.

The LDCV / LUCV has now been fully launched with the first units rolling off the production line in September. The outgoing TDCR & TDCV range will be phased out from mid-November, but will of course continue to be fully supported for service, spare parts and general aftersales requirements.

The new LDCV range will complement the existing HDCV range, which offers a separate fan section to sit within the floor stand, providing even greater cooling capacities and energy efficiencies from a compact footprint to free up further valuable white space with the data centre, whilst also extending the range up to 250kW.
