Formica - Striking Stones, Gorgeous Granites & Marvellous Marbles

Natural Stone - Laminate Sheet - Kitchen Islands - Formica Worktop

Formica Marbled Cappuccino from Formica Prima®

Authenticity, represented by a return to natural and simple materials, is making an impact on the design of kitchen interiors. Formica Prima® is a range of clever laminate decors to excite and inspire, including the look of natural stones minus the challenge and inconvenience presented by their heavy weight and weak resistance to stains.

For big and bold surfaces, the range features 8 TrueScale decors that replicate the characteristics of natural stones without repetition across the laminate sheet. Developed for large application, like for example kitchen islands, TrueScale brings the sizing of premium surfacing to homeowners at affordable prices.

The marble decors from Formica Prima® offer a large range of colours from hard black to creamy white. Prima® marbles imitate the subtle swirls of natural marble, including the visually stunning veined white of Calacatta Marble, chocolate brown swirls of an Arabescato with Marbled Cappuccino and bold white veins for Ferro Grafite. The collection replicates the look of marble to add a trendy aesthetic, without the inconvenience of real stone as Prima marble decors are more resistant to the wear and tear of the kitchen environment, significantly lighter to handle and do not require any treatments. The range fits perfectly within the white and greyed brown trend colour scheme that is dominating today’s residential interiors.

Granites remain in favour and their impact is being felt in today’s kitchen design. Sourced from real slabs, the Prima granite decors take inspiration from around the world including Mascarello granite from Brazil. With a crystal composition partly of quartz and mica, the granites from the collection offer variety and colours to meet traditional and classic needs. The rich and detailed Crema Mascarello in off-white, taupe and warm grey creates a feeling of light and space. The Antique Mascarello’s soft grey brown tone with its dynamic patterning can pair-up perfectly with bolder colours in a kitchen. These varying décors provide solutions to cover the light, dark and neutral design tones desired of a kitchen.

Formica Antique Mascarello from Formica Prima®Completing the natural stone décor offerings from the Prima collection are its stone textures. Diamond Black in Ceramo finish has a dry touch and an elegant dual gloss effect which complements the full drama of a black stone like Marbled Cappuccino in doing so brings an energy to the kitchen. Polished, honed and weathered stone finishes are also available to match every taste.

The scope of the decors available includes reduced looks like the Soapstone Sequoia with its finely drawn veins in white, beige or grey, as well as stunning exotics of a Blue Storm.

Eva Hoernisch, Group Creative Product Director, comments: "The Prima range has a warm and inviting feel to it. The decors look like real stones due to their crystal composition and authentic texture, and with TrueScale perfectly mirroring the characteristics of natural materials across a laminate sheet, installers and specifiers can avoid repetition, making it aesthetically pleasing to the eye. So authentic you will have to look twice."
