Fire Detection - Healthcare Estates 2016 - Fire Detection Systems

Apollo Fire Detectors - SOTERIA Range

Apollo Fire Detectors, specialists in the design and manufacture of high quality fire detection products, will be exhibiting at Healthcare Estates on 4th and 5th October 2016 in Manchester.

Visitors to Apollo stand (B3) will be able to learn more about the extensive range from Apollo, including SOTERIA®, XPander, Discovery and IS detection devices.

"Protecting healthcare facilities means protecting some of the most vulnerable members of our communities", comments Ed Browning, Sales and Marketing Director at Apollo. "Any alarm and possible evacuation will cause disruption, but in a hospital the consequences can be much more serious.

"To minimise unnecessary distress it is vital that false alarms are avoided whilst ensuring that no genuine fire is missed. This is the main inspiration behind our new intelligent SOTERIA® range."

The SOTERIA® range offers the next generation in fire detection expertise and is designed to provide extra addressing for Hospitals and larger facilities, as well as offering reliable fire detection reducing the number of false alarms.

The XPander range of devices is also particularly suited to the healthcare environment as it is a wireless system and devices can be positioned where the use of fire cables is either impractical or undesirable. In addition, devices can be utilised in temporary areas as diverse as construction sites or mobile clinics, giving a great deal of flexibility around fire protection.

The Discovery range is ideal for healthcare environments, with 5 different sensitivity modes within the device including a low sensitivity mode for harsh dirty environments such as maintenance areas, and a high sensitivity mode for cleaner environments such as operating theatres.

Also on the stand will be the intrinsically safe range from Apollo. These detectors are certified for installation in hazardous areas defined by BS EN 60079, including storage areas for gas cylinders.

Apollo will also have their new 2016/17 Product Catalogue available, a crucial guide for anyone who specifies or installs fire detection equipment.
