We recently welcomed Alex Dickenson to the team, in the role of Business Development Manager. Alex most recently worked with Formica as Area Sales Manager, so brings with him a wealth of experience developing and maintaining business relationships as well as strengthening customer expectations.

It’s great having such a super addition as Alex to the team, and he has very quickly settled. One of Alex’s roles with Ecodek will be developing and maintaining the merchant and distribution side of the business, as well as developing new and exciting avenues for the business. We thought we’d catch up with Alex and thought we would find out how he is settling down into his new role at Ecodek.

How are you settling into your role at Ecodek?

I have loved my first month at Ecodek, I have been mostly spending my time meeting everyone here at the head office in Wrexham and doing what I can to make sure I am learning about both about the industry and the products in it.

So, what did you do before you came here?

I worked as an Area Sales Manager and my key accountabilities were dealing with distribution partners, building sales with key customers across, training new members of team, account management and new business development, both ongoing and project level.

What experiences are you going to pull on to make the most impact at Ecodek?

My knowledge and experience of being from both large and small business will help Ecodek grow with a commercial outlook while not sacrificing its core values, such as sustainability and family feel.

What’s been your highlight so far?

Put simply, it’s the team! Everyone has been very welcoming and after being told it had the family friendly feel, I’m thrilled to find it is true – from the factory floor to all departments.

What’s your priority for 2020?

I want to build my knowledge of our product and surrounding factors so I can best help our customers. I also want to build relationships with current customers and look at where we can grow and add value to others business going forward, so that we are able to create long lasting partnerships.
